1:1 Session: Opening Awareness
Description
Opening Awareness is an experiential introduction to meditation designed to empower you to relax into this moment, here, now, always.
Rather than meditation being a rigid, religious challenge of forced efforts at concentration that you plan to tackle 'later', this session approaches shows how practice is possible in your present circumstances, wherever you are, now.
The purpose is to show you the steps you've already taken, gently any preconceptions or assumptions that stand in your way, and enable you to develop an abiding sense of calm presence and focus that is fit-for-purpose.
The benefit is to be able to develop a meditation practice that empowers your life, relationships and activities. This is relevant to work, relationships, hobbies, sport, politics, war and creative expression.
In practice, three meditative practices will be described before one is selected (by you) and taught and experienced in the session.
To give you a taste of the range, the practices may include practices that: can be practiced: standing, sitting, at the traffic lights, in the middle of an argument, during physical training or before sleeping.
The set of three meditative modalities offered customised based on your aspirations and self-diagnosis (submitted prior) and observation of how you arrive for the session.
Optionally, a recording of the guide provided session can be made and shared to guide your practice after.
