1:1 Session: Finding Alignment

Description

Finding Alignment is a movement-based session focused on body alignment with an openness to how this relates to alignment of mind, emotions and the environment.

The purpose is to learn simple practices that, over time, will develop skill deepen your awareness of your alignment, and how inquiring into alignment can enable happiness and effectiveness.

The more the parts of one's body and mind are aligned internally, and with external conditions, then one can move more freely and with greater effect.

The specific applications are tailored to each participants aspirations and circumstances: do you want to lift heaving things, balance delicate matters, off-balance others or climb to greater heights. All these can be enhanced by greater alignment.

In practice, we will use very simple, familiar movements to explore what alignment means, become familiar with principles, then practice applying them in your situation.

The focus and of this session will be based on your aspirations and self-diagnosis (submitted prior) and responsive to what you feel at the start of the session.

Optionally, a recording of movements at the start and end of the session can be made and shared to assess the difference paying attention to alignment makes.

Format

This session is best delivered in 60 minutes with 1-3 participants.

While in-person is preferred it can be delivered online with the right camera setup (high and wide field of view).
